Turquoise Camel Chapter’s Woman of the Year for 2010 is Ruby Peake, current treasurer. Ruby has been active in ABWA for many years and has had a varied career. She owned Arizona Music Center, has played dobto/steel guitar professionally, and now works as a retention specialist in the Circulation Department of the Arizona Republic.
Ruby was the Woman of the Year for Camelback Chapter (which merged with Turquoise Chapter to become Turquoise Camel) in 1985. Also that year she was named Hispanic Business Woman of the Year and was Woman of the Year for Turquoise Camel chapter in 1996 and 1997.—Lynda Tallant
